For nearly ten years, the house at 9610 SE 282nd Ave has been more than a residence for our students — it has been a place of formation.
At Great Commission Missionary School, our vision is to love God and people the way Jesus did. We help students grow in their understanding of Scripture, equip them for ministry, and inspire them to become servants of God. Most importantly, we want each student to develop a personal relationship with Christ and live out the Great Commission.
This home is where that vision becomes part of everyday life. Young men preparing for missionary service share meals, study Scripture, serve one another, and grow in responsibility. In the daily rhythms of living together, they are being discipled and prepared to follow Jesus wherever He leads.
Our landlord has decided to sell the house and has offered us the first opportunity to purchase it. We have a short window to respond — closing is set for mid-July, with remodel work to be completed by mid-August so students can move back in before the next semester begins.
In 2024, God faithfully provided a way for us to purchase a women’s residence. We see this opportunity as another invitation to trust Him and to establish a lasting home for the young men He brings to GCMS.
Purchasing the home will allow us to continue investing in students while making needed repairs and improvements so it remains a safe, welcoming place for years to come.
